Accessibility and Validations

The Descendants of Thomas Sims Graves has attempted to make this site accessible to as many visitors as possible. We are aware of those with disabilities and we have sought to make our site user friendly and remove restrictions for those with various forms of impairments.

We will attempt to detail what we claim and what we do not claim in terms of validation. We do claim that all 258 pages of this site should validate XHTML 1.0. Do we claim the site is flawless and without any coding errors of any kind? No, we do not make this claim.

In regards to AAA accessibility, many hours were spent in making this site accessible. We do claim all pages were checked with Bobby, Cynthia Says and WebXact version 4.0. We claim the pages on our site should meet at least a minimum of level WAI "AA" using automatic testing and level three on most pages. This was done in an effort to grant some measure of accessibility. Does this mean there are no warnings, manual checks or other items that may need to be changed? No, we do not make this claim.

We have tested every page using three separate methods: Bobby, Cynthia Says and WebXact version 4.0. If you find any pages that do not validate please contact us so that we can correct the problem.

We are including for you the link to W3C regarding the use of the AAA badge, this refers to "Responsibility for accuracy of claims" (opens in a new window) http://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG1AAA-Conformance.

We hope this explains our claims concerning validation. For your help and benefit in making your site compliant and more accessible for those with impairments we suggest that you visit the following sites. (These links open in a new window):
