Disqualifications Criteria

(What We Hope Not To See)
  1. A site in a language other than English. (Sorry it is all I understand.)
  2. US Based sites that accept applications or collect information for children less than 13 years of age. (We hope that all sites would want to comply.)
  3. A site having obvious Copyright Violations. (Includes displaying W3C Tags, CSS or Accessibility and being non-compliant)
  4. A site requiring the signing of a guest book to win an award or a site requiring a purchase or contribution to win an award.
  5. A site displaying stolen awards or those they are not entitled to display.
  6. A site requiring a password or download to enter or view the content.
  7. A site linking directly to another site for graphics or content.
  8. A site having a horizontal scroll at 800 X 600 resolutions. (Photo Albums, Wall Paper and other necessary displays will be given consideration.)
  9. A site that is not family friendly and promotes, condones or encourages any illegal activity.
  10. A site that collects personal information but has no privacy statement or disclaimer.
  11. A site that has previously turned down an award from this site.
  12. A site without an awards won page.
  13. A site not on a top level domain or a site that displays advertisements inconsistent with the theme or intent of the site. (Effective 4-5-2005)
