Qualifications Criteria

(What We Want To See)
  1. A responsible Webmaster will be at least 18 years of age.
  2. A responsible applicant will be the Webmaster/Web mistress of the applying site.
  3. A considerate Webmaster will have a site that is Family Safe. They would have an ICRA tag with the correct PIC coding on every page, a Safe Surf tag or an equivalent. We do verify your tag and check your pages for the proper PIC Coding (If an applicant is unsure that their site will get a green light with the ICRA tag tester, then they should use the free tag checker we provide.)
  4. A good Webmaster will have at least ten pages of original content for their main theme. Their content would not count items such as guest books, links or award pages.
  5. A Webmaster that is proud of his achievement would have a prominent, dedicated, awards received page and it would be indexed, with rated and non-rated awards. (Even if they have not won any awards.)
  6. A considerate Webmaster would have a privacy statement and a disclaimer if they collect or obtain information of any kind. (A guest book would be considered collecting information.)
  7. A responsible Webmasters “Fan site” would be officially authorized.
  8. A considerate Webmasters application would be submitted either by use of our application form or through e-mail with all information that is requested. (Their correct e-mail address would be included to send an award should they win.)
  9. A considerate winner of our awards would agree not to make any alterations to it.
  10. A responsible Webmaster would be required to wait for a period of 30 days before re-submitting an application or upgrade. (Unless they are disqualified in the initial evaluation and the waiting period would be 60 days.)
  11. A responsible Webmasters copyright statement would be more than the symbol itself.
  12. A good Webmaster would have a copyright (Copyright © 19__, 20__. Mike Graves) on every page.
  13. A responsible Webmasters site would not be for commercial, advertising or for any monetary endeavor. (This would include ads posted for a fee.)
  14. A good webmasters site would be more than external links or "portals" to other sites.
  15. A considerate Webmaster would not use scripts that take control of my browser settings or which prevent me from leaving their site.
  16. A considerate Webmaster would not have the right-click option disabled. Even on their awards page, as it would be useless to prevent theft. (Placing “Sample” on their awards would be a better option.)
  17. A responsible Webmasters site would not be strictly for gaming.
  18. A considerate Webmasters site would not have any "Under Construction" signs, "Coming Soon" signs, or links to pages of non-related content.
  19. A considerate Webmaster would have a way for visitors to contact them. (Preferably on every page.)
  20. A good Webmasters pages would open in the same domain and reside on the same server. Photo Albums and other such items will be given consideration.
  21. A considerate Webmasters site would promote good family values. A considerate webmasters site would not promote the use of tobacco, alcohol or drugs. Their site would not promote or encourage any form of Hatred, Violence, Warez, Wicca or Craft, Pyramid Schemes, Voodoo, Witchcraft, The Occult, Nudity, Illegal Activities, or Satanism of any kind including links or banners to this type of site. A considerate webmasters site would not promote or encourage cruelty to animals or humans. Their site would not promote or encourage inappropriate blood, gore, or suicide. Their site would not discriminate against other people or religious beliefs. A considerate Webmaster would have a site that would be appropriate for all ages to view.
