Description:	At American Profile we produce, among other things, a weekly newspaper insert magazine that focuses more on the positive, hometown related things happening in the nation. When it debuted in April of 2000, it was the second largest publishing launch in U.S. History. This site is a representation of the magazine with a conscious effort being made to not just be an online version of it. The entire site is dynamic, from the xml files that tell the flash slideshow on the homepage and article pages which pictures, captions, credits, etc. to show, to the contest advertisements, etc. The entire site is build and run using Java, Velocity, Web Works, CSS, Flash, JavaScript, Tomcat, JBoss, and Postgresql to handle the enormous amount of content.
