Tomb of John Greaves, Bell Tower, St. Anne's, Beeley England ( Click for More Detail)

 The inscription on the tomb says; This marble stone doth presse but not oppresse the body of John Greaves of Greaves, Esq. who was always a true son of the church of England, merciful and charitable to the poor, patient and courageous in a tedious sickness, and at length, being full of faith and hope, did exchange this troublesome world for a better one, the 13th day of October, in the year of our Lord 1694. On the family coat of arms the Latin inscription Supera Quaero    (I seek Heavenly things)
