God's Acre

Tomb of John Greaves (Metal Plate covers the Coat of Arms 1867) Click for More Detail

The metal plate or cover protects the coat of arms so if you travel to St.Anne's you will have to lift it to see the coat of ams, it appears it was placed there by a relative (Charles) CS Greaves in 1867 to protect it as ringing the church bell was causing the marble to wear down. Hundreds of years has taken it's toll but it is in remarkably good shape.
